I skipped ahead a day to preempt the hemorrhaging. The constraints of responsibility tied my Devil's hands. I am kept them from idleness, begrudgingly. I race to minimize an infinity of pop-up window memories, all with the same blonde face. I am fast, but those stormy blue eyes are relentless. I hard reboot my brain with fitful sleep beneath a willow tree, and an overdose of caffeine before the sun rises. Tomorrow will be much, much too long. And I've returned to waiting for answers that will never come.
