I stole a beat up sedan and drove a thousand minutes to an overgrown industrial matrix. I crawled through a nearby, dusklit bayou on knees and elbows. Dragonflies fled at the rapport of nearby gunfire. I held motionless for hours while my shadow did it's work. I fell to exhaustion when the moon cast no shadows. Sleeping in the reeds, leaking dreams into vernal pools. I awoke in a closing circle of obligations. Hours late to next weeks life.
