Trying to conserve the capacity for compassion. There's so many hungry mouths that need feeding. Giant, sucking psychic vortexes encased in fragile flesh effigies. The wails from lipless jaws grows louder every week. Watching the world retreat into itself. Like a badly built building imploding into a sinkhole. The structures are all shaped the same; Maslow's Pyramid. Everyone's personal hierarchy is so warped and brittle, they're never going to make it. "Tell me what to do and I'll do it! Tell me what to think! TELL ME WHO I AM! TELL ME EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!!" Everyone screaming the same thing into the burning horizon. Everyone hoping the Other will shout the solution back to them. Over them. Live it for them.
