The subtle grift of words laced with vulnerability. Naked in an ocean as honesty sleight-of-mind. You can't fool me with your mouth. I can read the empty space on your tongue. It has the same shape-- the same texture-- as dream-adjacent sand on the tiles. Chambering the past of failed relationships as an acid to dissolve skepticism. It is not hard to lie to someone. To everyone. In fact, it is quite easy. It can be done for a lifetime. But it is lonely and hollow, and tastes of the bile of inadequacy and regret. The taste of dissonance. Which requires tremendous ratification for it's external refutation. And endless distraction, else it drown you to sleep.
